Tips for Temping1. Always arrive to an assignment 5—10 minutes early to allow yourself to settle in.
2. A good temp is one whose goal is to enjoy every assignment. This means having a positive attitude, and enjoying all the challenges that come your way. 3. Always maintain a high standard of work performance, it will ensure future assignments. 4. Ensure that you have approval from the client before doing any overtime, and ensure you take the required breaks as advised by your consultant or by the client. 5. At some assignments there may be times where you find yourself with little to do. Take this opportunity to ask the Department Manager for extra duties or if there is anything you can help the team with. 6. Keep in regular contact with your consultant— inform them of when you have finished an assignment or anytime that you are unavailable. This will assist with a continuous flow of assignments. 7. Mobile Phones should only be turned on during specified break times, and be switched off during working hours. |
